Restored Shophouses @ Cuppage Terrace

Still in Singapore, the Cuppage Terrace is located near Orchard Road. I was amazed by the restored shophouses that was turned into restaurants so I took some pictures. It seems like there are more people here at night than during the daytime. We had dinner at one of the restaurants here called Viva Mexico. The food here is great especially the tacos and enchiladas. Service is excellent, we tried to order more food than we can eat but the waiter is kind of concern that we won't finish it so he suggested to cancel one of the orders. It's a bit pricey but one order is good for three person and it's delicious so I can't complain.

The First F1 Night Race in Singapore

Here's the pics I took during the F1 race in Singapore. Glad it didn't rain that night though we bought a survival kit that includes a raincoat and an earplug. Our seat is not the best one as it's quite far from the racetrack and we can't see the cars arriving only their tail but it's still an amazing experience. As expected there was a huge crowd from all over the world. Before the race, everyone hangs out at merchandise booths trying to buy stuffs. Most of the good stuffs were gone when we went inside but we were able to get some. I was looking forward to buying the cute Renault T-shirt I saw from one of the girls walking around but sadly it was sold out. The best looking shirt has got to be the Renault one, the others are just plain, but for a loyal fan designs don't matter to them. I'm not a fan of any team so I look for design.

Out & About in Singapore

I went to Singapore to watch the first ever F1 night race which was held last September 28. I am not really an avid F1 fan but just went along with it just for the experience. This would be my 4th time to visit this lovely city.

On our first night we had dinner at Marche, which is located at the level 3 of Vivo City. We took the MRT, which was very convenient, and got off at harbourfront station. Marche as it's name implies is sort of like a market. You shop for food (uncook) and have it cook in front of you. There is a wide selection of food and the variety is amazing. I opted for a seafood pasta in cream sauce, also tried some pizza and a roti prata. It seems like a very popular place in Singapore since we have to fall in line just to get a seat. It was all worth it though as the food is amazing. I wish I had tried everything but I was quite full after the pasta.

Sex and the City: The Movie

Finally, I was able to watch Sex and the City: The Movie. I know everyone must have seen it twice, thrice by now and I've only just seen it today haha. I thought the movie is great, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting but it turned out ok. Some people doesn't like this movie that much and I know why especially if they are a big fan of the series. In the TV series, the girls are fun, stylish and sometimes playful. Despite all their troubles and dramas, they always manage to have fun in the end. They're clumsiness and imperfections earned millions of fans around the world. It also helped that they got a great fashion sense. The movie, on the other hand, is leaning towards more serious stuff. Here, all of them are in a serious relationship, Carrie is living with Big, Miranda and Charlotte being married with their own kids, and even Samantha is living with her long time boyfriend Smith in LA. In this movie, we see the other side of the girls that we never saw in the series. Well, Charlotte is still has the perfect life here, Miranda's life on the other hand is all about work and raising a child that she doesn't have time for sex and a bikini wax, Samantha in a relationship? that's something new, and Carrie, I've never seen her so heartbroken as when Big jilted her supposedly Big Wedding. This movie is not all seriousness though, there are plenty of witty moments, fashionable moments (I love the Louis Vuitton) and endearing mischiefs. For me, this is the right way to end the girls story, from here we see them move from the care-free, fun loving 30 something single to a more responsible, still fun loving married women (except Samantha but it's by choice).
